FEBRUARY

STURGEON SPEARING SEASON

Opening Day begins February 13th at 7:00 a.m.

Daily from 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. until cap quota is met

Description:  Participate in this time honored tradition by obtaining your license from the DNR by October 31st.  Licenses are $20 for residents and $65 for non-residents.

 

MARCH

STURGEON BANQUET

March 5th Dinner at 7:00 p.m.

Location:  Neighborhood Pub & Grill

Description:  Join the camaraderie that only the Sturgeon Spearing Season can bring to the Lake Winnebago area!  Share stories of the season and celebrate with the honorees that speared the largest fish!  Great raffle prizes, award ceremony, food & beverages!  Tickets will be available at State Bank of Chilton – Stockbridge Location.

MAY

HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL – Sponsored by Calumet County

CITY OF CHILTON PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY, 9 – 11 A.M.

May 6th

Appointments are required to participate.  For more information or to make an appointment go to http://calumet.uwex.edu anytime, and use the simple online registration form. Otherwise, call Mary Kohrell at 849-1450 ext 3 from 8 – 4 p.m.

Hazardous wastes are products whose labels include words like caution, poison, combustible, danger, warning, flammable, or corrosive.  Hazardous wastes that can be brought to the disposal program include, but are not limited to, solvents, fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides, rodent baits, lead & oil based paints, kitchen & bathroom cleaners, bug sprays, old gasoline transmission fluid and antifreeze.  Latex paint is not accepted.

 

VILLAGE & TOWN OF STOCKBRIDGE LARGE ITEM DROP OFF

May 7th 9:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m.

If you are a resident of the Town, you can drop off your large items at the Town Garage on North Hwy 55.  If you are a resident of the Village, you can drop off your large items in the parking lot south of the Fire Station.  Be prepared to show ID to verify that you are a resident of either municipality.

STOCKBRIDGE COMMUNITY RUMMAGE SALES

May 20th & 21st

Description:  Reduce, reuse & recycle!  Promote green living by shopping at the Stockbridge Community Wide Rummage Sales!

STOCKBRIDGE SCHOOLS GARDEN CLUB PLANT SALES

May 20th & 21st

Description:  In conjunction with the Community Rummage Sales, the Stockbridge Schools Garden Club offers a great plant sale.  There are a large variety of perennials or garden plants available to choose from.  The prices are very reasonable and often, transplanted plants are hardier than the store bought variety.  The plant sale takes place in front of the main gym, which is located on Military St/Hwy 55. If you’d like to donate towards the plant sale, simply bring your divided or transplanted plants to school on the 13th or early on the 14th.

 

ELECTRONICS DISPOSAL – Sponsored by Calumet County

Waste electronics such as tvs, computers, VCR’s and household appliances will be collected from 2 – 6 p.m. on May 25th at the City of Chilton Public Works facility.  No appointments are required for these events, but expect to wait in line.

 

JUNE

STOCKBRIDGE LIONS WALLEYE TOURNAMENT

June 4th   6 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Hosted by the Stockbridge Lions Club: Lake Winnebago Tournament & Stockbridge Firemen-Legion Park for Awards, Food & Entertainment

JUNE 8TH

SATURDAY FARMER’S MARKET

Date:  Spring – Fall

Time:  7:00 a.m. – Noon

Location:  Parking lot north of the Village marquee sign.

Description:  Enjoy or participate in the Village’s weekly farmers market.  Vendors market their fresh produce, bakery, plants/flowers from Spring until Fall.  No need to pre-register, just set up your canopy and display.

 

JULY

STOCKBRIDGE FIREMEN-LEGION PICNIC & PARADE

Date:  July 16th & 17th

Description:  Join us for the fun of the annual picnic & parade.  On Saturday, there is a softball tournament, outdoor mass, games, food, beverages and always a great band playing under the main pavilion.  On Sunday, start the day with the parade at 11:00 a.m.  The famous chicken dinner is served at noon until 2:00 p.m., the PTO sells tickets for the awesome gift baskets all day and there is always excellent entertainment under the main pavilion.  If you are interested in being in the parade, please contact Joe at 439-1468.

 

AUGUST

STOCKBRIDGE SPORTSMAN’S SWAP MEET – Sponsored by Rippn Lips Tackle Company

Date:  August 6th

Location:  Stockbridge Fireman-Legion Park

Great opportunity for the sports enthusiasts to either sell their excess equipment or to shop for good quality new and used hunting, fishing, shooting and outdoor gear.  If you are interested in being a vendor, call 920-981-4023.

 

OCTOBER

OCTOBER FAST – 5K Run/Walk

Date:  October 2nd  9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Location: Stockbridge Fireman-Legion Park

Description:  3rd Annual October Fast 5K Run/Walk will take place rain or shine!  Hosted by the Stockbridge Schools PTO!  Sign up at the school office or “Like” the Stockbridge PTO Facebook page for updates.

VILLAGE OF STOCKBRIDGE TRICK OR TREATING

OCTOBER 31ST, (times to be determined at a later date)

Stockbridge is proud to say that they will always host Trick or Treating on Halloween!  If you are a participating household, please keep your porch light on for the ghosts and goblins.  The Fire Department also holds a costume contest after the conclusion of trick or treating, at the Fire Station.

 

NOVEMBER

ANNUAL STOCKBRIDGE SCHOOLS CRAFT FAIRE

November 12th   9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Location: Stockbridge High School Gymnasium

Description:  Great variety of 80+ arts and crafts vendors!
